Nevertheless, I still took a day off just to watch the life telecast of AI final result show today. I was so nervous towards the end when the result was being announced, and almost scream with joy when Kris was announced the winner. =P
It has been a great season, many great and unique singers, many great songs. Now that it has come to an end, I'm already beginning to miss this show. There's nothing to look forward to next week, oh my......
Anyway, I have to congratulate Kris on his winning, I think he deserves the win! I believe he will have a bright future as a singer, I'm looking forward for his 1st album soon.

Yes, this is another week of solid performance by my favourite Kris, but ok I'm not so bias as to say he's the best of the night. Here is my ranking:
1. Adam - He is really amazing, great vocal and great technique, easily the best tonight(although I don't like him personally)
2. Allison - I like her cos she's unique, and gosh she's only 16yo!
3. Kris - It is fun and enjoyable, he choose the right song and he sings well, and he is extremely gorgeous!
4. Matt - Not a bad performance, nothing really exciting though
5. Anoop - Not bad vocally and technically, just that the song is abit too slow and makes u fall asleep
6. Danny - I always think that he is overrated, it's just an ok performance to me
7. Lil - She's a powerhouse, but she disappoints me by choosing the wrong song
8. Scott - His vocal and performance is ok, just fall short as compare to the rest
9. Michael - He looks abit tense and nervous, but I don't think he is that terrible as said by the judges, he just has to choose a song which is more suitable for him
10. Megan - OMG that is really really horrible, she just murdered this song. She is off pitch, off tempo, wrong arrangement, everything is wrong wrong wrong. She doesn't deserve to be in the Top 10.

I have sort of lost abit of interest in Season 8 AI since my favourite - Ricky Braddy, didn't got in to the Final 13. But after 2 nights of Top 13 competition, I'm beginning to like another contestant more and more, and he is Kris Allen.
To me, he is humble, great attitude, nice vocal, and cute. His smile can kill. =)
This is his performance in tonight's top 11, he is singing "To Make You Feel My Love". He has great control of his voice, although the song itself is quite boring, he actually make it sounds nice, I am quite touch after hearing him sing.
Hope that he can go far in this competition. All the best Kris!!!

Ok the reason why I posted this entry only now is that I still can't get over the fact that my favourite singer-Ricky Braddy didn't make it to the Top 13. He is obviously much better than most of the contestants who got in.
Anyway, the show must go on, after the wild card show, they decided that it should be Top 13 instead of 12, so here are your finalists:

The show will be Live tomorrow(our Friday morning) and the judges will have the complete say this time to pick the 3 worthy contestant to fill up the top 12 seats.
The 8 lucky contestants who got a second chance are:
1) Anoop Desai - Am happy that he got a second chance.
2) Jasmine Murray - I'm don't really agree with this. No doubt she is talented and has a great voice at her age, but she performed badly during Top 36, so her seats should be given to those who performed better and didn't get selected.
3) Jesse Langseth - No comment, I didn't remember her anyway......
4) Matt Giraud - Am happy that he got a second chance also.
5) Megan Joy Corkrey - She is unique, and she is pretty, that's all.
6) Ricky Braddy - Am so so so happy! He better got selected this time!
7) Tatiana Nicole Del Toro - WTF! This drama queen!!?? No way!!!!
8) Von Smith - Am happy that he got a second chance.
Ok, this list is basically fine with me as most of my favourite contestants are in, except for a few ridiculous choices. (They should have replace Tatiana with Ju'Not and Jasmine with Felicia) I'm hoping that Anoop, Ricky and either Von or Matt can be selected, and at this point of time they also seem to be the favourite.
The problem now is, so far the 9 choosen for top 12 consists of 6 males and only 3 females, so the judges may want to make the gender more even and decide to choose more females than males. If this really happen, I'll be really upset because all of my favourites are male! If I really have to choose only one male, then......it will be Ricky, because he can really sing well, and I seriously think that his performance during the Top 36 is by far the best. So let's pray hard that he will get in.
Sorry Anoop, though I really like you too......=(

Before the show starts, my favourite of this group were Lil Rounds, Scott Maclntyre and Von Smith. After the show, it proved that all 3 of them performed quite well, and based on the judges feedback Lil and Scott were almost a lock to make it to the Top 12. However, another singer also caught my attention, that is Jorge. He is from Puerto Rico and he speaks English with a funny ascent. But he can really sing very well, I especially love his voice which is so gentle and smoothing. So I was torned among 4 of these singers because only 3 can make it to the top 12.
The result shows on Wednesday revealed that the 3 who make it to top 12 are:

So I am really really glad that he was voted into top 12! Well done America!!!

I am happy with this result because they are indeed the best 3 performers during that night. Apart from this, I also hope that Matt Giraud gets a chance in the Wildcard week. He has a very soulful voice, just that he chooses a horrible song to sing this week, if not he should have a high chance to advance to top 12.

OK, I'm abit late in posting this, the 1st group of 12 Semifinalists had performed last week and result was out. But since I was very very busy last week, I only have time to post this now.

I was having a mix feeling with the result. There're actually quite a few of my favourites in this group, so it's kind of difficult for me to choose, but base on the performance on that night, I have to say the 3 who should go through are Alexis, Danny and Ricky. It is unfortunate that Ricky didn't go through, mainly because he had almost zero airtime during audition and Hollywood week, so audiences are not familiar with him, as compare to Michael. Anyway, I really really hope that he has a chance during the wildcard week cos seriously I think he is the best during that night's performance.
I also hope that Anoop gets a 2nd chance at the wildcard week, he is unique and he can actually sing quite well. Anyway, I think his chance of getting through is high because he has a huge, huge fanbase behind him.

I have been a fan of AI since Season 1, so am excited again that Season 8 starts airing few weeks ago. This Season's format is a little bit different from previous seasons, they choose a total of Top 36 semifinalists, and divide them into 3 groups of 12 to perform every week. Each week the male, female, and the next top vote getter with the highest number of votes will make it into the top 12. The remaining 3 seats in the top 12 will be choosen by judges at the Wildcard round among those who were eliminated.
At the moment of posting, we had already seen the first 3 contestants who advanced to the final top 12, the second 3 contestants result will be out tomorrow, and I'm really hoping that my favourites will get to advance to final tomorrow, finger cross......
